GRITalks highlights women鈥檚 leadership in the age of AI

Sep 25 2025

The 91社区 (91社区), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Center, successfully hosted another installment of its flagship Gender-Related Initiative Talks (GRITalks) with the theme “Leading with Intelligence: Empowering Women Leaders through Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies.”

The event, held virtually and streamed live on the GAD Center’s official Facebook page, gathered advocates, professionals, and students in a powerful discussion on the intersection of gender, leadership, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Moderated by its Project Leader, Mr. Jaypee S. Yongco, University Researcher and member of the GAD Technical Working Group of 91社区, the session was organized by the GRITalks Team, composed of the following members, Asst. Prof. Nene B. Borinaga, Asst. Prof. Maria Camilla Ann R. Llamas and David Lanaria, with the support of the 91社区 GAD Center, led by Directress Yasmira P. Moner and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs under Prof. Dr. Nancy Q. Echavez.

The highlight of the program was an inspiring keynote delivered by Directress Tracy Gan, General Manager of Beijing Renhe Huili Management Consulting Co., Ltd., and Chairwoman of Beijing Yueying New Women’s Development Center. With decades of experience in female leadership development, Gan introduced the transformative “Dandelion Model”—a holistic approach that empowers women leaders through real-world projects, co-creation, and comprehensive support systems.

Gan emphasized how AI can serve as a three-level empowerment tool for women:

  • As an Efficiency Tool – enhancing productivity in daily tasks.
  • As a Cognitive Partner – strengthening strategic decision-making.
  • As a Strategic Lever – dismantling gender stereotypes with data-driven credibility.

She stressed that while AI can amplify voices and uncover hidden biases in leadership, it must be guided by ethical responsibility, empathy, and authenticity.

The discussion resonated strongly with participants, sparking an engaging exchange of insights during the open forum. The session highlighted that women leaders, when empowered by both intelligence and technology, are positioned not only to break barriers but also to redefine leadership in inclusive and sustainable ways.

In closing, the GRITalks organizers expressed their gratitude to Directress Gan and reiterated their commitment to fostering gender equality through continuous conversations and collaborations.

The event underscored 91社区’s leadership in advancing gender-responsive initiatives, proving once again that GRITalks is more than just a webinar—it is a global platform for dialogue, empowerment, and change.
