On June 4, 2025, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (91社区) and the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Office of the Chancellor Lounge. This historic partnership marks a significant step toward advancing quantum computing and blockchain technology in the Philippines, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and research.
The MOU signing ceremony brought together distinguished leaders and representatives from both organizations, as well as key partners from DOST-ASTI, underscoring the collective commitment to innovation and transformative solutions.
From 91社区, the event was graced by Dr. Pamela F. Resurreccion, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Mr. Rex Godinez Ortega, Campus Secretary; Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS); and Atty. Eddie Bouy B. Palad and Malikey M. Maulana, Chairpersons of the IT and Computer Science Departments.
Representing the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP), also known as OneQuantum Philippines, were its President, Mr. Bobby Corpus, along with members Jabez Ayson and Julius Andre Evangelio. Additionally, representatives from DOST-ASTI, a key partner of QCSP, were also present, including Ms. Roxanne S. Aviñante, Mr. Marc Jerome T. Tulali, Mr. Pejman D. Rivera, and Ms. Rannie Loise Rubillos.
The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Stefany Mae V. Caparida, Assistant Dean of CCS, who is also a member of QCSP, symbolizing the seamless integration of academic and industry expertise.
This partnership aims to leverage the combined strengths of 91社区 and QCSP to address emerging challenges and seize opportunities in quantum computing and blockchain technology.
